Upgrading and NEW TOUR SCHEDULE

We are now offering a new tour schedule on the weekends.
If you have been to Eco Zipline Tours,  you may be familiar with our popular upgrading system. Our customers really appreciate that they can start out with the Easy Rider and then "upgrade" to the High Flyer while on tour. Many of our customers try ziplining for the very first time at Eco Zipline Tours so we understand that some are hesitant to sign up for our High Flyer tour (225ft off the ground??!!) We also know ziplining is a splurge for most of our customers, so we are happy that we can let you try it out first, ensuring your hard-earned money will be well spent.

We will still be offering upgrades but will need to change our tour schedule to accommodate such requests.

On Saturdays & Sundays we will still be offering hourly tours from 9-5pm, however we will only be offering certain tours at certain times.

NEW 2012 TOUR SCHEDULE:

Saturday & Sunday - 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm & 5pm tours will only be High Flyer & Easy Rider tours. In our prior seasons, we have found that upgrades between these two tours go rather smoothly. Easy Rider participants can still upgrade to the 10 line High Flyer tour, while on tour, after completing the 3rd zipline. This will be an extra $40.00 per person.
Easy Rider participants will NOT be allowed to upgrade to the Super Six on the day of the tour. We would be happy to take care of upgrading your voucher PRIOR to the day of your tour but this depends on availability - you will need to move your tour time to a "Super Six" tour time.

Saturday & Sunday - 10am, 12pm, 2pm & 4pm tours will ONLY be Super Six tours. Super Six participants can upgrade to the 10 line High Flyer tour, while on tour, after they have completed the 4th zipline. This will be an extra $20.00 per person.

On Monday, Thursday and Friday we will be offering the option for all 3 tours at each tour time; 11am, 1pm, 3pm.

We have implemented this booking system with our customers in mind. We want to avoid as much waiting time as possible for our customers but we also want to accommodate those who want to try it out before they commit to the big tour.

An exception to our weekend tour schedule would be any large groups who contact us for private parties. We will plan a tour schedule that fits your group on a case by case basis.

Please contact us with any questions -

*This schedule was implemented on March 26, 2012 and is up to the date. Our website is in the process of being updated to show this current schedule.

Hermann, MO

If you have ever been there, you wouldn't be surprised Forbes' named Hermann one of the Prettiest Towns in America. When customers ask for nearby activities, I am always surprised at how many people have never even heard of Hermann. Hermann truly is one of Missouri's gems and certainly worth a visit.

Founded by German immigrants in 1837, Hermann hosts popular annual festivals, such as Wurstfest, Maifest and Oktoberfest. The home of award winning wineries and B&Bs, Hermann is the perfect romantic retreat.  With more than a handful of wineries and over 300 guests rooms, there is bound to be something that fits your taste and budget. Our favorites are: Adam PuchtaOakGlenn Winery, Up Up and Away Lodging, Hermann Hill Vineyard & Inn, and Wine Valley Inn.

Before you visit us at Eco Zipline Tours be sure to check out Hermann's calendar of events, which you can view here. Festivals will means thousands of visitors in Hermann so if that's not what you're looking for, be sure to plan your visit for another weekend.

As always, plan your trip to the wineries for after your ziplining adventure at Eco Zipline Tours.

SUPER SIX TOUR!

We're very excited! During our off season we constructed a new course with a brand new zipline. This course is our Super Six Tour.

“The Super Six Tour” – Experience our newest tour! This 6 line tour includes all 4 lines of our Easy Rider plus 2 more longer, faster and higher lines for an adventure you will not forget! The highest point on this tour is 50ft and the total cable length is almost 2000ft! This tour will take approximately an hour to complete*. (Ages 3 and up) Minors must be accompanied ON TOUR by an adult.

We take our reviews and customer suggestions very seriously. Something we heard rather often was that we should have a course that was between our Easy Rider and High Flyer in length and price. The Super Six is a great option for those who want a little more than the Easy Rider. What makes this tour extra cool is that ages 3 and up can participate!

Google Offers Coming Up!

Next week we will be featured on Google Offers. Eco Zipline Tours has never been featured on Google Deals so we're very excited for this opportunity. Google Offers isn't as well known as other daily deal sites like Living Social but so far we're very impressed with them! In fact, just the other day, we got a great half off deal on some yummy cupcakes! Maybe we can get them to make us an awesome zipline "cupcake cake" like one of our customers did for her son's zipline birthday party:
Yes, they are ziplining! How cool is that?

Alright, enough about cupcakes!

The deal will be 1 Easy Rider tour for 50% off. As always, you can apply this voucher towards our other tours and simply pay the difference.

Our Easy Rider tour is perfect for children or anyone interested in giving ziplining a try for the first time. Never getting more than 35ft off the ground, it is a great introduction to ziplining. The tour consist of 4 lines, totaling approximately 1000ft of cable and takes approximately half an hour to complete.

Get your friends and family together and have everyone purchase their own voucher for an adventure for the whole family! This would also be an affordable way to host a birthday party for children under 12! Kids love to zip!!

You can view google offers here. Like other daily deal websites, you do need to sign up with your email address.

In other news,
Mike and I are toying with promotion ideas for our 2012 season and we have some that we're very excited about. This is going to be a great year at Eco Zipline Tours!

Thanks for reading.

Hermann Hill

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Hermann Hill Bed and Breakfast over the weekend. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt pampered. Hermann Hill is a luxury B&B and was designed with couples and romance in mind. Located less than 15 minutes from the zipline, it is a great option for your Hermann getaway.

We selected the Chambourcin room because it was the only room with a private hot tub on the patio. This will be changing soon though- According to their Facebook page, they are adding hot tubs to 3 more rooms. This place just keeps getting better!

If you’ve ever been to our zipline you have met our pug, Zeus. The zipline is Zeus’s home and he often roams it freely, interacting with customers and impressing them with his all-around awesomeness. Hermann Hill is also animal friendly. Lewis and Clarke are two very cute and very well behaved chocolate labs. They freely roam the property so be on the lookout for them!

Zeus stands on guard for our customers during the safety speech.

Hermann Hill is actually two different properties. We stayed in the Inn, which is a single building featuring 8 rooms and a more traditional B&B feel. In the Inn, you have the option of enjoying breakfast in the main dining room with other guests or enjoying room service at your time of choosing. The cottages, on the other hand, are much more private and secluded. There are 5 total, each featuring an upper and lower level. Instead of preparing a breakfast for you daily, they stock your fridge prior to your arrival with all the food you will need to make your own breakfast (my understanding is most are as easy as heating up.) Each room features a large private deck with a hot tub, gas grill and an amazing view of the Missouri River. These babies definitely live up to their name of river bluff cottages!!

This chart, found on their website, really sums up the difference between the Inn and Cottages quite nicely.

I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Hermann Hill Inn to anyone interested in a relaxing getaway. The breakfast is gourmet and plentiful, the late night homemade cookies and ice cream are a treat and the amenities are nothing short of amazing.

TIP:
Looking for a last-minute weekend getaway? You should contact Hermann Hill on Thursday morning. They will review their bookings for the weekend and you may score a sweet deal!

Opening Day is Sunday April 1, 2012

Opening Day is fast approaching. It seems like just yesterday that we were packing up the office for the winter. Turns out, winter wasn't as long and cold as any of us thought it would be. We had so many calls during our off season of people wanting to zip so we know everyone is excited to zip this year.

We did a refresher training for all of our guides yesterday. With beautiful skies and our fun-loving group, it hardly felt like work at all. We're so proud of our Eco Zipline Tours tour guides.
Have you seen our reviews? Our guides are fantastic and we're so happy to have them all back for yet another season of fun.

We will be featured on several "daily deal type" websites in the coming weeks so be on the look out!
